Race Rules
Purpose of the race:
To raise awareness of the importance of regular physical activity and to promote Debrecen Airport.
Venue and date:
Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 7:00 AM
Debrecen International Airport – runway (Entrance access: 4030 Debrecen, Szatke Ferenc Street – old access road)
The event is free to attend.

Participants:
Everyone is welcome to participate in the Debrecen Airport Run in accordance with the following age regulations:
In the family race (2.5 km), it is possible to participate with a stroller for children up to 2 years old, or with balance bikes for children up to 5 years old. Participation with a balance bike is entirely the responsibility of the parent, including any accidents caused.
For the 5 km and 10 km individual races, the relay race, and the 2.5 km distance, participation is allowed from 6 years of age, exclusively under parental responsibility. In the individual races, an adult runner may participate with a stroller carrying a child up to 2 years old.

- 5 km individual start: 8:50, on-site registration: 7:00 – 8:30
- 10 km individual start: 8:50, on-site registration: 7:00 – 8:30
- 2.5 km individual start: 10:15, on-site registration: 7:00 – 9:45
- 4 × 2.5 km relay start: 10:15, on-site registration: 7:00 – 9:45
- 2.5 km family race start: 10:15, on-site registration: 7:00 – 9:45
- 1 km Equal Opportunities race start: 11:00, registration: 7:00 – 10:00
The organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule.
Awards
The top three finishers in the individual races (female and male categories), as well as the top three relay teams (based on absolute ranking only), will receive valuable prizes offered by the event’s supporting partners.
The results of the family race are determined by the combined results of all participating family members after crossing the finish line. A family team must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members, and each family member’s individual result counts toward the overall result.
Registration
Registration for the event is available online at www.rundeb.com until September 10, 2026. On-site registration is possible only through the online purchase system.

Due to the specific characteristics of the venue, the number of participants is limited to 4,500 people. Therefore early registration is recommended. If the limit is reached before the event, registration will be closed.

The entry fee includes:
- race pack (gym bag, bib number, custom event T-shirt, 0.5 L mineral water, additional sponsor gifts)
- custom finisher medal with event emblem
- participation in the race

Race Pack Collection
Important! Pre-registration is available only for those who submit their registration by midnight on September 10. For registrations made after that date, registration and race pack collection will only be available on the day of the event at the venue. Information about the pre-registration location and time will be sent by the organizers via email.
Race pack collection at the venue:
- 5 km individual start: 8:50, on-site registration: 7:00 – 8:30
- 10 km individual start: 8:50, on-site registration: 7:00 – 8:30
- 2.5 km individual start: 10:15, on-site registration: 7:00 – 9:45

The organizers reserve the right to modify both pre-registration and on-site registration.
Technical Information
Bicycle storage and free parking are available near the event entrance for participants arriving by bicycle or car.
By registering, participants accept the race rules and acknowledge that:
- they participate in the race at their own responsibility,
- they allow minors to participate under their own responsibility,
- their health condition allows them to take part in the race,
- the organizers cannot be held liable for injuries, health damage, death, or any damages related to participation in the race.
Changing tents and a baggage storage tent will be available for participants. The organizers are not responsible for personal belongings placed in the baggage storage.
Participants who leave the designated race route and enter restricted areas must leave the zone immediately upon request; otherwise they may face legal consequences.
The organizers reserve the right to take photographs and video recordings of the event and participants. These materials may be used by the organizers for promotional and communication purposes (e.g., billboards, flyers, Facebook, Instagram) without compensation to the participants.
Due to operational restrictions at the venue, the 5 km race has a time limit of 1 hour. After this time limit expires, participants will be informed and must return to the race center.
The race will take place regardless of weather conditions.
The entry fee is non-refundable if the participant does not start the race.
All participants must wear their bib number clearly visible on the front. A 10-minute penalty may be imposed if the bib number is folded, covered, or not clearly visible. Participants may be disqualified if they repeatedly violate the bib rules, do not complete the full race distance, or misuse the timing chip.
Rollerblading, cycling, or running without a bib number during the race is strictly prohibited. Runners accompanied by cyclists or rollerbladers will be disqualified.
Any commercial or advertising activity at the event venue is permitted only with prior approval from the organizers.
For the safety of participants, runners are prohibited from using headphones in both ears simultaneously while completing the race.
Strictly prohibited throughout the event area:
- smoking
- activities that may cause fire
- littering
