Equal Opportunities, School Race

This year we welcome runners and visitors to the runway of Debrecen International Airport with a renewed visual identity, the well-known race distances, and many new features.

The aim of the running event is to promote running and a healthy lifestyle among people interested in sports, while also providing a recreational opportunity for families in an exclusive environment. Participants will get a glimpse into the life of the Debrecen airport and run where airplanes usually take off and land.

Since 2022, in the spirit of equal opportunities, we have introduced a 1 km solidarity run, creating an opportunity for people with mobility impairments to participate in the event. The main naming sponsor of this race is once again Schaeffler, supporting and assisting its participants.

We Are Looking for the Most Sportive School!

It is important for children to become familiar with the world of sports and healthy living from an early age, even outside the walls of school. Therefore, over the past three years, as part of our “We Are Looking for the Most Sportive Schools” campaign, we have provided free participation opportunities for primary and secondary school students.

Each year, 600 primary and secondary school students have been able to register and participate in the race free of charge.
